Circus and Movement

Positive social, physical and physiological benefits of this program are recorded by care staff and we work with physiotherapists to incorporate therapeutic exercises aimed at reducing falls. Cleverly disguised as circus and dance, this strategic program also builds social inclusion amongst residents as they applaud each other's efforts of walking the 'tight rope', juggling, balancing and chair dancing. After  initial engagement sessions and group socialisation we begin to observe an increase in dexterity, concentration, motor skills and a 'can do' confidence to participate.
